Who is this course for?

Ideal for Healthcare Assistants and Practice Nurses new to performing ECGs.

 

What will I learn?

You will learn the anatomy of the heart and the theory behind ECGs as well as gaining an understanding of the equipment used. You will have opportunity to practice taking an ECG recording.

Training in clinical skills covers theory and simulated practice. Following training supervised practice must be completed in the clinical setting, you will be issued with competencies to complete before receiving a certificate. A competent registered nurse must be responsible for confirming that you have gained sufficient practical competency before independent practice.
