Who is this course for?
Practice Nurses or Nurse Associates new to primary care or those Nurses who wish to expand their knowledge in Female Health.
What will I learn?
The session will give an overview in anatomy and physiology, the menstrual cycle and common menstrual disorders seen in primary care including dysmenorrhoea, amenorrhoea, PMS and PMDD. The training will consist of theoretical knowledge, practice-based scenarios and the NICE guidelines encompassing common gynaecological conditions, abnormal discharge, common and sexually transmitted infections and the role of the nurse in primary care.
Covering:
- Female hormones
- The menstrual cycle
- Heavy menstrual bleeding
- Uterine fibroids
- Polyps
- Endometriosis
- PCOS
- Menopause
- Bacterial vaginosis and candida
- Chlamydia, Gonorrhoea and Trichomoniasis
How long is it?
6.5 hour session
How much is it?
£150 per person
Prices may vary for bespoke sessions, dependent on numbers and travel

The course can available utilising NHSE funding for eligible individuals in general practice within Humber and North Yorkshire:
